Guests are invited to book wine tasting sessions to experience the unique flavors of our wines.

Current Rogge Cloof wines include: De Knolle Fonteyn, Salpeterkop, Sneeukop, De Rogge Cloof, Joachim Scholtz, Cape To Cairo, Letaba, Timbavati, Emineo and others.

Enjoy these wines and more with our guided wine tasting sessions.
Stargazing and Astrophotography
Rogge Cloof is blessed with a truly magnificent view of the heavens.
Rogge Cloof’s altitude is slightly higher than the surrounding Sutherland area, which, combined with the unpolluted Karoo darkness, provides a very special opportunity to view & capture the total magnificence of the stars and planets.

Whether the night sky offers clouds, a full moon, pitch darkness or the full spectrum of the Magnificent Milky Way....no evening goes unnoticed at Rogge Cloof.

Bring your camera, your telescope, your time and presence and the Karoo will reward your soul ....
guided cheetah tracking
Rogge Cloof Reserve is a closed-system and is surrounded by Karoo sheep farms. Although they are wild and hunt for themselves, cheetahs on Rogge Cloof are collared and closely monitored.
Guided Cheetah Tracking on the Reserve is subject to various internal and external factors, such as the location of the cheetahs on the Reserve at the time, weather, movement of the cheetahs, research and conservation processes, such as medical examinations, re-collaring and relocation of cheetahs, and therefore cheetah tracking outings may sometimes not be possible.
History Drive & Walk
Discover a piece of history with a guided drive and walk to the remains of Anglo-Boer War forts, set against the dramatic backdrop of the Karoo.
Explore these historic sites and learn about the stories of resilience and conflict that shaped the region, all while taking in the expansive views that surround you.
Guided Nature Drive & Fossil Field Outing
Embark on a unique journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Rogge Cloof with our Guided Nature Drive, culminating in an unforgettable visit to our Permian Age Fossil Field.
Begin with an engaging fossil presentation in our rustic stone wine cellar, followed by a scenic drive through the Reserve, where you’ll experience the natural beauty and history of the Karoo.
